a few more squares completed but I have slowed down a bit lately, I have been given a whole bunch of leftover wool/yarn from my mother (which used to be my Grandmothers) really old retro colours which I love.

How I did it: I was introduced to a lot of new music (folk etc) through a room-mate when they would have it playing on their Ipod dock in the kitchen etc, thanks to external hard-drives and ipods can now listen to a great range of music any time. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Whilst living in Nunavut, I spent a day 'out on the land' hunting with local Inuit. When I had to go to the bathroom, and being that there are no bathrooms on Baffin Bay, I was told to drive the skidoo in any direction for 5 minutes and pee in the snow. Fair enough. Off I went and after a few bunny hops I was flying along and it was lots of fun and a lot easier than I initially thought. Read how I did it…
How I did it: After losing weight through a structured weight loss programme and waiting for my perfect life to begin (all the while living in fear of gaining an ounce back again) I have realize that it was always my mindset that needed changing and not my body! So I explored Geneen Roth's books on Emotional Eating/Compulsive Eating and it has completely changed my life. If you believe its only about having a 'thinner body' then you will never be happy… Read how I did it…

Some days I can catch these negative judgements, see them for what they are and dismiss them, other days its a little more difficult and it can be like taking two steps backward. I just keep reminding myself it is an ongoing process and not going to happen overnight. I am more able to forgive and be kind to myself for the days I ‘slip up’, learning is about making mistakes, if there was a little kid trying to learn something you would never condemn them, you would show them kindness and patience, so I apply this to myself.
I have been to/driven through:
British Columbia (Vancouver)
Alberta (Calgary)
Saskatchewan (driven through on road trip, Regina/Saskatoon)
Manitoba (driven through on road trip)
Ontario (Toronto/ Ottawa)
Quebec (Montreal/Quebec City? Sept Illes)
New Brunswick (Woodstock/Fredericton)
Newfoundland & Labrador (St John’s/ Labrador City)
NWT (Yellowknife)
Nunavut (Iqaluit/Clyde River/ Pond Inlet)
So…that leaves:
Nova Scotia
PEI
Yukon
Hopefully this summer out road trip on the east coast of Canada will see us visiting Nova Scotia and PEI, the Yukon will have to wait for another year!!
