My auntie was diagnosed in November of 2007 with breast cancer. I remember hearing the news on the phone and I froze because I just couldn’t handle the news. Not only breast cancer but 4th stage cancer that had invaded her bones. It was a long 18 months. I say that in a good way. I remember the beginning of her chemo treatment. I would pick her up and she always looked so lovely. We’d exchange hugs and a kiss on the cheek and without pause she would ask ” did you bring a snack?” She loved her snacks! As time went on I could tell that the chemo was wearing her out but she never complained or lost her sweet smile. I will never forget her spunky attitude and loving nature. On May 25th 2008 she passed into the next.. I know she is an angel watching over me.
Miss you and love you Heidi Ho!

Finally!

My dad recieved his adoption papers yesterday.
His biological mother passed away in 2003… at the age of 85.
Her name was Josephine Johnson
I guess she remarried after she gave my father up for adoption and went on to have 2 more sons.
They have no clue of her past. I actually talked with the ex-wife of one of my father’s half brothers and she told me alittle about my grandma and also said that noone knows of her giving my father up… I am waiting for a call from the brother… she said she would relay the information to him and pass along my phone number.
If nothing else comes from this it is still nice to know a name..
