Ever since I left home at the age of sixteen I keep finding myself in strange places. I have lived in:

France-6 months
Athens-6 months
Israel-9 months
America-2 years
Bahamas-18 months
London-7 years
Poland-8 years
Bristol, UK-2 years

and I’m now in Dubai!! Is this going to stop? Am I running away from something or running to something.

In all the above places I have always worked and done quite well for myself. But it always seems that somewhere else is something better going on ( the grass is greener…)

I’m thinking that maybe Ghana, India is the place. Oh, Good Grief!!!

I live in Dubai in a villa by the beach. It is quite far from town. Now is summer and the temperature is into the 40’s. It is too hot to cook, even with the A/C. The only place to eat nearby is McDonalds. I hate it but it saves so much trouble. I woke up with a spot on my face today. the first one in years. So, THAT’S IT RONALD…NO MORE!!!

I have been writing music on guitar and piano for 20 years now and have recorded some of them but always on fairly crap equipment. Due to the advancement of technology I have some incredible recording equipment on my computer so I now have no excuses.

But it is so hard to start. I think its because when my music can be heard by others I will be opening myself up to many things. I must just have it in my mind that the recordings are for me.

Some time ago I needed some cash quickly, so I pawned my guitar. When I went back to get it several weeks later thay had mistakenly sold it. I was so sad. A guitar becomes a friend and it was like not only losing a friend but also letting that friend and indeed myself down.

I have vowed to replace it with exactly the same model.

I change when I drink. I am not me. I like me as I am. People like me as I am. People tend not to like me when I drink. Ipso facto ergo I should not drink
