...was trekking up to annapurna base camp.
If it’s one of your goals – make it your top priority.
Wonderful scenery, inspiring people with mindfulness and dignity. Nepal is a beautiful country – don’t be put off by the political situation, I went when the uk and us governments advised against travel to the area – fewer travellers was great for me but not so good for the Nepali economy.
Best times to go are around December or April.
Namaste!

It has taken me about 3 years but I have gone from 11st 7lbs to 8 st 12 (I’m 5’4”)
I tried millions of ‘diets’ & put the weight back on – read ‘French Women Don’t get Fat’ and it changed my way of thinking – get one cheaply off Amazon/ greenmetropolis.co.uk and share with all your friends.
What I’ve realised is that women (especially small ones) just can’t really eat that much – we are served the same sized portions as men in restaurants etc when we should be eating proportionately.
I never cut out any food group, still drink alcohol and eat 3 decent sized meals a day but I know my body is not designed for snacks/ seconds/ leftovers/ munching on a few nibbles while cooking -this mindless eating is what so many people don’t realise is making them gain weight.
It also amazes me how many people feel that they ‘should’ be going to the gym 3 times a week – walk for 30 mins each day and this is enough exercise – you cannot lose weight through exercise alone and the balance of weight loss, I’ve found is focused far more on what you eat.
Anything worth doing takes time and effort – a quick fix goes against the principles of the problem – being overweight is more of a mental state than a physical one!
Be slow and mindful of what you eat and my mantra when about to have something I shouldn’t was “Nothing tastes as good as thin feels!!”
GOOD LUCK

I started being more mindful about a year ago – practising yoga daily has helped as has reading up on buddhism.
It has changed my life!! I am so much happier and see the point in life – keep practising!
