I keep thinking I’ve landed a job that will make me happy, but time and time again I walk into a situation where it appears I have more knowledge and experience than the manager I report to. I’m tired of picking up the slack and the stress from those who can’t seem to handle it. The problem comes in when I like the person I work for, but they just can’t seem to get it together. So this year I am working to find the job that will make me happy rather than just finding a job that keeps me content for the moment.

I don’t know when it started-I just simply remember always knowing I wanted to be a writer. I’m not a voracious reader and I don’t have any famous writing mentors, but I have a desire to express myself through the written word. I write at work and I write at home and I write just about everything: poetry, prose, fiction, non-fiction about anything: work, life, society, social issues, family, who I am, what I like, what annoys me. I have a number of projects that I’m working on but the problem I have is that I become consumed by a project, get into it while I have a desire, and then lose all passion for the project when I hit a snag. I need to keep myself motivated to finish at least one work of fiction and shop it around, because I do believe in my abilities and I know I have some talent for writing.
