How I did it: After getting my state and federal tax returns back, I headed to the bank to open a savings account. It was great to be able to take a portion of the money I have been saving and open a high-yield savings account. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I was required to become certified in CPR/AED for my Massage Therapy program - it only took a couple hours and I'm now certified for 2 years. Much easier than I thought it would be. Its really worth it too -- you never know when you may need to use it. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I kept putting it off because I thought it would take a long time. I also couldn't afford it for a while...but today I went to do it and it only took me about 10 minutes! As a formerly Religious Person, I started refusing to believe in anything of a spiritual nature – fearing I would get sucked back in, I guess. Whatever the reason, I am sick of shunning everything spiritual, and want to explore the possibilities without reminding myself that its all fake every time I find something that is interesting (but maybe not completely possible). I know I will never be anything close to Christian again, and I don’t believe in a God in a literal sense, and I think heaven and hell is silly and strange…but there are so, so many other ideas and possibilities that exist that I want to learn about and try on for size.
I want to give myself permission to be a spiritual person.
I’ve always just had a “spending account” – I’ve never actually worked on saving my money. I’m going to use the money I get from my tax returns to open a savings account, and try to add to it from each paycheck (even if it’s only a little at a time).
