I have lost 15 pounds since June! Yay!
10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.
Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.
It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.
As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

The silent auction…
Last weekend we drove her to Arcata! What a beautiful place. She is going to love it there. She’s already applying for jobs, she’s settled into her new appartment. She loves her roommates. She remembered most everything! I’ve only needed to send up a few items. ... Now its just time to clean up the rest of her room and move everyone else around!
So sorry I missed your special day! I hope it was filled with blessings! May this year be full of joy, love, luck, and blessings!
we will be driving her to Humboldt. My goal this weekend is to help her finish her room. I’m getting more teary eyed about this every day. Hopefully I can do this without being so emotional.
went in this week. ... Now, hopefully, we can act on it right away. School starts in less than a month and the children will be getting off of the bus at the park again. We need it soon!
They are getting quotes from electritions on the upgrades the park will need for the building!
I’m not “swimming” yet, or again. But it was the first time I’ve been in the water since my panic attack 2 years ago. ... So, its definately a start.
Tonight I watched my ever so nervous son enter into a board room of 4 panel members of his Eagle Board of Review. I saw him exit and wait anxiously while the panel discussed his worthyness of such an honor. When they called him back into the room to infom him of the decision, I think I may have seen him shake in his shoes. Watching him exit the room with such a relief on his face, was absolutely priceless! He has been working soooo long and hard to acheive this! I couldn’t be more proud of him!
I am officially the proud mom of an Eagle Scout! I am sooooo proud of my son!!!!
My husband and son are backpacking this weekend. I took my two beautiful daughters out to dinner last night. We laughted, talked, and shopped! What a wonderful evening we had. I’m so glas we were able to this before my oldest leaves for college in 3 weeks. :)
I boutht a suit. It has been 2 years since I’ve been in a pool.
Its not that I can’t swim at all, its just that I really don’t like being in the water. I’m not secure in it, and I don’t like feeling insecure.
I guess now, I should use the swim suit! YIKES!
For all those celebrating the 4th of July today. I hope you have a wonderful day! Happy Birthday America!
For the few minutes he stayed up longer this morning to spend time with me, when he was so very tired after working all night. I hope he has a restful sleep!
I am thankful for so many things…
For my family, my job, my community, for all of the blessings God has bestowed upon me, for the country I live in, for the food in my refridgerator and cupboards… I could go on and on. Its time to remember how blessed I am and to stop worrying about everything else.
I am asking for prayer for my sister. She really needs prayer. God knows what she needs. Thanks to all who pray!
His Eagle board of review is on July 18! Woo-hoo!
