What's wrong with people? 17 months ago

We went to check on our house to find that someone had broken in and stole the copper pipes! They also hit a gas line so the house was filled with gas. 911 was called immediatly and the gas was shut off, we were told it was good we showed up when we did because the house could have blown up and taken a few others with it considering it had been filling up with gas for days! Now everything has to be renegotiated because the pipes need to be replaced before we can close.
