I eat a pretty healthy diet and I’m not overweight (my BMI is 22). But I have weak muscles and am very unfit in that I can’t jog for more than a minute or two before my lungs seize up and I come to a gasping halt.
Up until now, I’ve relied on walking to and from work every day to keep my weight in check, but it worries me to think I couldn’t run a reasonable distance if I had to (especially in an emergency).
I’m going to focus initially on improving my cardiovascular fitness, and then see about doing some sort of strength training.

This goal got pushed to one side for six months or so due to finances and unexpected circumstances, but I finally got there a couple of weeks ago. The system is working beautifully – no hassles whatsoever. :D

I feel like I’m definitely making progress with this. I started a Flickr-based Project 365 challenge in October, which involves taking and posting at least one photo every day for a year. It’s sometimes tough to maintain the commitment, but I’m learning a lot through daily practice and experimentation, and also from providing and receiving feedback from other Flickrites.
