How I did it: I was surrounded on all sides by waste, clutter, and I decided to do something about it by making a goal on this site to go a whole year buying only foods and other necessities. I packed away all but a small change of clothing to save water. In reality, I didn't need more than a few items of clothing, so the large numbers of clothes I had collecting dust in my closet did absolutely nothing for my wardrobe or my asthma. How I did it: For years, I had been one to people please and try to tell everyone what they wanted to hear as a coping mechanism. I’ve got so many old clothes that are not of good quality to be donated.
So, I’m going to use them for crafts. The next few classes at The Womans Industrial Exchange that focus on Sewing and Crochet, I’m going to see if I can pick up on more skills to make items that I can initially use around the house. With practice, I hope I can get good enough to eventually sell some stuff and at least supplement my income.
