More challenging hike near Jarrahdale

Just finished a 7 hour hike on the Bibulman track which was a bit more challenging with a couple of larger hills to go up and down. We stopped at a hut for lunch and I can tell you I never knew how fantastic a simple cheese sandwich could taste after having walked 3 hours up and down just to eat it. Wow. It was a great sense of achievement and I am now planning on my first overnight hike. However, the weather is starting to get a bit too cold and I have quite a bit of equipment to purchase such as sleeping bag, pack and tent. Plus I am travelling for work to Germany (with side trip to Switzerland) next month so I will have to plan for more hiking closer to Spring. Made a good friend on the hike with Joselyn so we are thinking about trying an overnight trek in Spring together without a guide.

My first hiking trip...

It wa fantastic. I can really see how people can’t get hooked into this. I found it a lot easier than I anticipated so maybe I’m not as unfit as I think I am. Already booked on the next hiking trip at the end of May. Another day hike but 15 km this time and more information about overnight hiking. Well on my way to my goal

One step closer

Bought a bench, weight set and a little mini trampoline today on sale. I’m very excited and looking forward to gaining some muscles! Got the ingedients now – equipment, time and most importantly the motivation. Just watch this space.
