I downloaded a program onto my computer to help me learn morse code. It’s based of the Koch method of learning, which starts out with just two letters at full speed. Once I learn those two letters, I add another one by one until I can hear all of them at full speed. This seems difficult, but from what I read online, it’s the most efficient for learning faster than 10 wpm. Apparently thats where most people get stuck if they learn the letters first then work on speed. So I’m started, and am at m and k.

How I did it: Well, I moved into a new place that had a kitchen. This was a major step, because I just couldn't eat microwave dinners often.Once I had the kitchen, I went and bought a bunch of supplies for my own personal 'starter kitchen'. I bought a bunch of herbs and spices, oil, lemon juice, flour, sugars, etc. This is the most pricey part, but once you have it, no need to refill for quite some time. The first week was the hardest,… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I knew that I wanted to leave the country so I looked for programs on the internet. I found lifeworks which offers multiple service trips. One gives supplies in Thailand, one gives medicine to the aborigines in Australia, and the one that I did, was environmental conservation in Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. I was there for approximately three weeks and we traveled to several different islands and built schools, cle… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I actually made bread without any wheat in it. I know a growing number of people who have wheat allergies and so I thought it would be good to learn to make some things they can eat. So instead of using flour, I substituted rice and potato flour and added a few other things, but created some good wheat-free bread. Read how I did it…

Well, I got a start. I picked out the five songs i would like to learn. And I now have easy access to a piano. I also have sheet music for four of the songs I want to be able to play. Now i just need to practice practice practice.
Currently, I’m held up in a small place with just a microwave. Not very condusive to my desire to cook. In a few months, I’ll be moving and I made my top priority a place with a full kitchen. I’ll still have a microwave, but now I’ll have a stove and oven. I’m so excited.
