A couple of reasons:
1. Its not greedy – $10,000 per month isn’t really that much when you think about it – just $120,000 per year and that’s pocket change to the wealthy.
2. Its enough – While $10K per month isn’t some obscene “I want it all!” kind of cash, it is plenty for me. I can pay down my bills, give my folks a comfortable retirement and continue to fund my own as well.
3. Its a nice round number – I’ve decided that the reason I spent so many years “just getting by” is because that’s what I aimed for. Even now, I know my monthly bills and that’s the figure I tend to shoot for when booking new gigs. It stands to reason then that I just need to shoot for something other than my “just getting by” amount and $10K per month is a nice, easy figure to remember.

I’ve been giving this one some thought and what I came up with is this: the world will have to “save” itself which will happen through change… so then the question becomes, how do we change the world?
I think alot of our answers are right here. Just look at what people are wanting to do – learn to dance, learn to sing, be happy, fall in love, leave notes in library books…
What if money didn’t buy happiness? What if people began to discover all the wonderful opportunities for happiness out there that are just waiting on them? What if one by one, people stopped looking for the empty “bottom line” and instead started looking for a “higher existence”? Then things like living green, making peace and feeding the hungry would be second nature. It would be a “given”. We wouldn’t need laws to tell us not to rape or murder – we would just never consider doing such things.
So changing the world means changing its perception.
And how do we do that?
By example of course :)
I imagine that there are more of “us” than there are of “them”. The majority of people in the world just want to live happy and peaceful lives. The average person doesn’t care about weapons and power and world dominance… we’re just looking for a way to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table while allowing us some free time to enjoy family and friends. We don’t require trillions of dollars to enjoy life and we don’t care if someone else has different religious beliefs than our own. We just want to exist in harmony. Be free to pursue our own path and discover our own potential. We believe in truth, freedom and brotherly love.
All we have to do now is figure out how to mobilize and inspire the rest of our “team”!
