I like the idea of being able to mold my body into what I want it to be/look like. I recently started taking yoga classes, and am fascinated with being so in tune with my body. I would say I’m pretty self-conscious, and I think getting closer to my body will help me appreciate it more. Becoming more flexible will teach me what my body is capable of doing and make me love it more.

How I did it: In June, Obama came to the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, and my friend and I were the first people in line to see him. We waited for over twelve hours in the rain, but it was worth it. Hearing him speak was the chance of a lifetime, and I would have waited even longer in line to see him. His speech made me finally proud to be an American, something that I don't think has ever really happened. It was one of the most memorable days of… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Once I went back to college, it was easier for me to become a vegetarian since I was choosing what I was eating. I just made the decision and stuck with it. I don't miss meat at all! Read how I did it…
I recently took a trip to Ecuador, and fell in love with the lifestyle. People are so much more laid back, open, and affectionate. AND one could also drink in the streets. For some reason, this has always been a dream of mine. In the US, we are so conservative about consuming alcohol, and I believe that’s why binge drinking is such a problem among youth. When a society is open about drinking, it doesn’t become an act of rebellion, as it has become in the US. I’d love to live somewhere that’s so open about something that really shouldn’t be a big deal. I got a taste of this in Ecuador, and I’m thirsty for more ;)
I had quite a few guy friends in high school, but once I got to college, I started making friends with girls more than boys. Maybe the fact that the campus I live on is all girls had something to do with it ;). I miss having male friends. They are a lot less complicated and always fun. Since I’m starting my sophomore year soon, I thought I’d make a point of making more male friends.
