how do you guys learn german?

i am learning it by reading books, all the audio materials i have seem to be too fast to me and i can’t figure out how to say it right (i need someone to speak the words for me!!)
so my way is read books and i’ve printed out some flashcards from the internet and that seems to be helpful.
i can get sound without too much troubling now!
