Try and encourage your friend to not rely on your shoulder to (complain) on. I know this sounds unkind, but this is in the best interest for the other person. Encourage them to relax and to just be… otherwise suggest accepting the way things are and that they cannot be changed. If the person protests, encourage them to try harder to think positive, light thoughts.

feel as if a string is holding you up, like a puppet(for a visual) that connects from the base of your spine to the top/back of your head. this always helps keep the right kind of alignment
ooh and a big one…. stand under a doorframe and push your hands out on either side of you, holding either side of the frame. then lean forward and feel-it is SUCH a great stretch for your pects/shoulders-the insanely awesome stretchy bliss you get! hehe it feels great and rocks your posture… just make sure you don’t stick yo bootay out, like.. keep everything in line like i said, otherwise you won’t get the full effect.
