just got back from Portland and had the chance to go to the Crystal Ballroom to see X. Built in 1914, it is a beautiful building that the McMenamins have accented with their inimitable style. Grand chandeliers, huge windows, and the Mcmenanins flourish provide great energy. I steered away from the floating dance floor due to large quantities of floating beer in my belly. To get to see legendary punk band X in this venue was amazing. They put on a flawless show and the crowd loved it! Non stop music, cheering, foot stomping, best night in a while!
