Beautiful Country

Gorgeous. I would highly recommend visiting Nara, because even though it’s kind of tourist trap-like, it is simply amazing to see the old buildings and the giant buddha statue ((also there are deer everywhere that were very friendly and let you pet them. so cool)). My only critique is that traveling within Japan is VERY expensive ((they have tollbooths EVERYWHERE)). I did it as a part of a student exchange program with fundraisers, otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to afford it.

Hanauma Bay, Hawaii

TOTALLY AWESOME. Definately one of the best things that I’ve ever done. I’m not even that great of a swimmer, but it was so easy and fun! The place is gorgeous and stock full of fish, turtles, and even the occasional eel. We got one of those disposable waterproof cameras which was also really worth it. Also worth it was paying a little extra for the better quality rental gear, because it prevented any accidental inhalings of water, which was good. :)
