Not having a job has made me insanely lazy, and also a bit of a night owl. I want to work on a schedule where I get to sleep, typically, around midnight or one, and wake up around nine. I’m getting plenty of sleep, and at the right time of day.
1) I moved away from fictionpress and have started expressly writing fanfiction for fun. It’s my time waster, and it’s doing well.
2) My fiction works are being expanded via NaNoWriMo, which writers everywhere should already know is the best thing in the whole world and my life.

As you can see, it’s kind of WAY bigger than it used to be… and the funny thing is, I think I update less than I used to. However, my style has improved, my stories are better and more well formed… so things are definitely getting better.
In other news, NaNoWriMo is just around the corner, and I’ve been slowly outlining my novel for the month entitled Miss Priss – a story about a City girl who leaves town to live with her absentee father and escape the perfect, prep-school life her mother has built for her. Little does Skye know, being a teenager is the same wherever you go, and the same types of people are everywhere. One hot summer, a few snobby, prissy debutantes, a ridiculously cute southern boy, and three months of self-discovery later, Skye realizes who’s been being Prissy all along. I’m really excited about it, I just need to know more about the South before I really start writing. I’m excited.

Didn’t realize it was about the guy that I’m still dating, that I have strong feelings for, and that I have loved as a ‘friend love’ before.
He kissed me over two months ago. We’ve been dating nearly two months. We spend nearly all of our free time together, and still haven’t managed to get sick of each other. It’s crazy because we were best friends. It still throws us off. Even just last night, when he stayed over, he said it – we still sit there and laugh about how we used to just be friends, we used to make fun of each other in High School and everything.
I might love him. I know two months is soon, but when you’ve been this close with someone for so long before even getting together, your feelings start developing before you’ll even admit to them. My feelings have been developing for months – maybe even more months than I think – and everything is fine.
HOWEVER. Every guy I have ever loved has cheated on me.
This was proven in my last relationship – six months, he cheated, I left. The love before that? Left me for his ex, after four months. Before that, I was with a guy for nearly a year and a half before he left me for a girl five years younger than him. (He was 18.)
Those are the only times I’ve used the L word. So naturally, I’m TERRIFIED to use it again.
Kiss in the Rain: Spencer Hull, 1/20/10, on some random playground in Torrance, just because. An exboyfriend from freshman year, turned great friend, then drifted apart. Just recently, we’ve been talking again, and he’s a great guy. As that guy Daniel said, it was the kindling of an old flame.
Kiss Under The Mistletoe: Incomplete. HOWEVER. I have a quite amazing boyfriend, and Christmas is just a month away. :D THIS WILL HAPPEN.
Kiss on New Years Eve: Danish Mansoor, 1/1/10. Before the countdown even technically started, he kissed me, and kept kissing me. We spent an amazing summer together, full of adventures, and nothing ever happened. The sad thing is, that he doesn’t remember this new years kiss at all. He’d been drinking way more than he should have. So I’ll never know if it meant anything unless I ask him.
Under the Stars: The last time I kissed anyone outside, besides the In the Rain kiss, was at Beetna’s going away party. So this one, technically, counts as Derek Brydon, 1/9/10. I won’t get farther into this story than that because I shouldn’t.
I feel like I should redo Under the Stars, because it’s not really fair. He has a girlfriend. We were drunk. And I still haven’t done Under the Mistletoe. So 2010… here goes nothing.
Okay so I think the Under the Stars one is funny, because my now-boyfriend who is amazing and fantastic is REALLY good friends with that guy, sooooo. haha.

No seriously, I’m participating in NaNoWriMo ‘10, and I’m about 30k words into the 50k goal. THAT’S A NOVEL. I’M WRITING IT.

Recently, I was in a pretty serious relationship. I’d moved in with this guy as friends because we were close anyway and we had the same first class that semester. We ended up together, dated for six months. I thought I was in love.
Then he cheated, and I left, and I realized how rude and selfish he was. I realized I could do better.
And now, I may have found it. On hanging out with one of my best guy friends, one joke lead to another and he kissed me. Since then, the friendship has blossomed into quite the little romance. He hasn’t officially asked me out, but it’s definitely going to happen. It’s weird, because we were such close friends before, and to anyone around us, we’re the most unexpected pair in the world. But you know what? None of that matters. We were talking this morning about how we feel we can totally be ourselves around each other. That’s what matters. That’s what love grows out of.
my new beau has agreed to do this with me! i’m really excited. it has always seemed like a good concept to me – wrapping things up, spending an entire day together, etc. he’s a fantastic individual, so it should provide for a really great day.
every time i get one, they just slip away after a few months?
girls are ridiculous. they let silly things get in the way of friendships – this is why i have guy friends. if you say something about a guy he doesn’t like, he just shoots something back and you’re all okay. girls make a huge deal out of it and disappear. whatever!
this time, however, i’ve found a girl that actually doesn’t suck. her name is thalia and she’s really good friends with the guy that i’m kinda seeing right now. she’s EXACTLY like me – a little weird, but doesn’t give a shit about drama. we’ve been talking every day or two since i started hanging out with him and for some reason we’re super close already.
And about four months since I finished.
How, you ask?
I didn’t give up, no. I just felt that with what I’d done and with the change that this goal had already made in my life, I’d gotten enough out of it. I let it go.
A year ago I was shy. I was painfully awkward, terribly strange, and severely depressed. In the time since then, I’ve grown up exponentially. I am happy, I am free. I can be my complete self around anyone at all. I have loved and lost, lived and passed out, and through it all I can say I have been in the best spirits I’ve ever seen in my entire life. I have found love in what was just a good friendship, with amazing compatibility, just because I had the nerve to hang out with him alone, to flirt a little, to exist.
I’m getting back into 43 things because that’s something I’ve been doing latey – making goals, dreaming, and getting out there and getting things done. It’s probably one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Is just not doing it at all. Seriously? Get a low-maintenance cut. Shower. Braid or just brush through. Tada!
