How I did it: It sounds really weird, but I did this by giving up completely. I didn't just say, "I give up." Instead, I was truly and completely resigned to not falling in love. I had made a lot of plans to travel around and not really be emotionally available, and I even said things like, "I really don't want a boyfriend right now." Then BAM! Out of nowhere I fell completely, intensely, inconveniently in love with an awesome person who loves me back.… Read how I did it…
i consider myself to have quit even though i fall off the wagon from time to time. it’s been a month and i haven’t had a pack of my own or smoked daily. however, now and again…
it’s really freaking hard and it hasn’t gotten easier, but i’ve quit and started so many times and i won’t let myself start again just because of one little slip up.
so relapses be damned i’ve quit smoking!
good luck with your efforts to quit!
i was a work scholar for two months last year and it was one of the most healing, growing, amazing, bonding experiences of my life. don’t miss dance church.
esalen is the closest thing to home that i’ve ever felt. can’t wait to go back.
