I have a sewing machine but it is sitting idle in its case because once I worked out how to thread it, it sort of seized or something and I gave up. Now I’m on a stalemate because I can’t find any classes nearby or even in the Sydney district at all that don’t require you to bring your own machine. I can’t bring mine because I don’t have a car to transport it in =(
I yearn to sew for myself because I find it too difficult to approach my mother with ideas. She’s a great sewer so it’s really unfortunate I can’t use her expertise.
Plus size patterns (as opposed to normal people patterns) are just as depressing as plus size clothing (as opposed to normal people clothing), and anything approaching decent material is ludicrously expensive. I have no space to sew and terrible light in my apartment.
It’s all just too hard =( At least until I move house. Hopefully I’ll get a little space to set up a sewing desk and just persevere with my broken(?) machine.

I dunno, I was looking for a new laptop bag after I got my GORGEOUS Macbook Pro (<3) and all the 'day packs' and 'performance systems' got me thinking. Some sort of camping trip might be nice? Maybe. We don't have any of the insane paraphernalia (tent, sleeping bag, ability to look slick despite insane bugs) but the idea of a stunning natural landscape and some fine company is just sounding not so bad right now.
