Star Trek and Star Trek: Into Darkness
Getting behind already. Watched 2 films with my mum this weekend – Mostly Martha and The Dish. Highly recommend the Dish.
Bullets over Broadway
Saw this years ago but think I enjoyed it more this time around. New favourite line: ‘who wants a drink?’ ‘I’ll have a double anything’.
The Green Hornet
Given to me by a friend, wasn’t expecting such a silly romp but that’s what you need sometimes.
Can’t believe it’s 2 years since I did anything about this goal. Cheered up the blues tonight by booking myself a ticket for Richard III, which I’ve never seen, for a couple of weeks’ time.
Not my choice – Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger. A friend has been wanting to for ages. It was harmless and cringey fun.
‘Read all the books I own’ has been on my list for so long and I don’t make any progress on it. So I’m breaking it down and renaming it:
‘Reduce my book stash by one shelf’.
This is roughly 25 books and does allow me to give some away unread -making it an achievable goal.
The Nightmare before Christmas
Had this on my shelf a couple of years and treated myself to it today, while wrapping Christmas presents. Loved it and can’t believe I’ve waited so long to watch it.
Skyfall – It Happened One Night (been wanting to see this for years) – The Help
All really good films
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (would have been a lot more enjoyable if my boss hadn’t given away the ending)
I’ve been forgetting to update this and am not sure now where I’m up to. I know I’ve seen the following:
The Sweeney (wins awards for the most swear words in a script ever)
Serenity (favourite re-watched)
The Hunger Games
So that’s at least 26. Only half way, oh dear!
I accidentally started this by trying to decide what to watch by starting at the beginning of my alphabetised dvd collection. Watched Amelie and Back to the Future then found myself looking for a film beginning with C.
Just for fun – my kind of fun.
Next?
C – Carefree
D – Destry rides again
E – Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
