I have had about 2 1/2 years of college under my non-existant belt. I loved it. for once I got to learn about what fascinated me, but I also had some guidelines so I didn’t get too off track!!! Which is an easys thing for me to do when I am fascinated with something. I took Chicano literature as an English course and as an American Studies course, it was beautiful. I got to hang out with the people I always loved being around in high school and there was no pecking order. I was still labeled ” the over achiever” by my classmates but this time it wasn’t making me a geek.
I had to drop out because I was paying for it all myself, and it was really difficult to work 3 jobs and go to school full time.
Now I think I could handle things better, and I want to always be in the throw of knowledge. College is a good place to be in that throw.

I have tried to learn how to read music before and it is all so frustrating for me. See it is hard to read something that I feel so much of. I am a person of feeling, emotion; not so much about analytical figuring things out the “smart” way. When it comes to symbols and numbers I am really dislexic. But because I want it, it will happen some day. I want to be able to creat better music, and understand the make up of what I will create.
Singing is the one thing that I have known how to do my whole life. If somebody asked me to explain how to sing I dont know if I would be able to give the right answer. I sing what I know, what I feel what I want to know what I want to feel, I could probably sing about anything I wanted to because that’s was singing is for me, it is a release, a flow, an energy, my energy. I love it. As for Marc B., Jason M., and Miss Sheryl C.,
these talented souls are some of my greatest musical inspirations. It would be insanely surreal to sing with them. If I could have sung with Ray Charles, Loius Armstrong, Miss Ella, my life would have been complete before it even began. Music is the soul of my own soul.
