I have a client who wants to complet what he started. He was turned back at 17k feet by a storm in ‘98.
The climb doesn’t seem near as hard as the logistical nightmare of getting a backcountry permit to camp/climb. We’re having to try and climb it in one day since we missed out on the Febrary lottery to get a July or August multi-day permit. We’ll try for a walk-in permit once we get there – maybe someone will chicken out.
