Tips from the battlefield
I’ve been out of work for just over four months. I have been trying a variety of ways to find work and they are all iffy at best. I finally have a job offer and I am now negotiating for salary.
Tip 1:
Have a resume prepared and in your car. You never know when you will run into someone who has a job or knows of a job.
Tip 2: Have ALL the information you need to fill out a job application at the ready. This applies to everyone from entry level to top management. Quite often the employer has a human resource checkbox to fill and you can’t move forward until you have filled that checkbox. Pick up a application somewhere, fill it out, and keep it available during your job search.
