This is a pretty thankless goal, as not that many people are into “letter writing” these days and responses are hard to come by. However, it did feel very rewarding.

How I did it: I did it because my roommate at the time had just been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Her, my best friend, and my myself had nonchalantly talked about going sky diving in the past, but had never really made any definite plans until her diagnosis, which prompted her into action. I started taking lessons in October and now I’m playing Bach so I guess I can say that I’ve “re-learned the flute” since the quality of my playing is close to – if not at the height – of my ability when I played before. Now I need to start thinking about buying a guitar..
I failed at this goal because I suck and didn’t have any willpower in December. I usually get a mean case of “the seasonal” in November, but this year I started getting the blues in December. I spent more time on the couch watching “Gilmore Girls” than at the gym – fortunately today is January 2 and I went to the gym and ran and it felt superb.
