but beautiful when accomplished. I also want to find someone to do “nothing” with. :)

Great to plan for while pregnant
I don’t know about you, but when I was pregnant my hair grew lush, long, and fast! Must’ve been the vitamins, the hormones, something! Plus, I really didn’t process it much while pregnant so there was at least 9 months new growth that is perfect for donating.
Anyhoo…I had all this hair that ended up in a ponytail, trying to manage new motherhood, time for a haircut.
It wss great donating all that hair to such a worthy cause. I told my son he was not only a blessing to me, but even by having him, he was a blessing to another child we’ll never even know. Truly a win/win/win.
Tip for true beginners...

- Don’t overwhelm yourself at first. Just learn a straight stitch!
- Purchase or get simple patterns like pillows, basic curtains, ya know, anything you can find free on the internet or in the back of those big chunky pattern books you’ll find at the fabric store.
- Repurpose fabric you may already have like old t-shirts, skirts that aren’t worth wearing anymore, stained tablecloths, anything you can practice on.
- Start learning how to sew garments by first deconstructing some of the garments you have now (that you don’t mind destroying). It’s funny how taking something apart will make you go..ohhhhh!
- Search the scrap bin at the fabric store for good bargains.
- Sew some square or rectangle pillows first and get those under your belt first, then advance your way up.
YOU CAN DO IT!
