Ok so I shaved my head (not completely..it was like evey in v for vendetta length) and I LOVED it. It’s the best haircut I’ve ever had, but then I’ve had a lot of bad haircuts. Let me just say, you get a LOT of attention. So consider yourself warned! At first it was all ‘do you have cancer’ but now it’s more like ‘whoa that’s really cool’. So, I like it, but that’s just me.

How I did it: It happened really suddenly. A friend of a friend owns a bed & breakfast in Galicia. They needed help and I needed an internship. Voila! Two weeks later I was in Spain. I spent the entire summer there. The weather is perfect, the mountains and beaches are lovely, the food is delightful. it was all just really, really beautiful. I would love to go back. How I did it: I gave up all animal products for lent. Before I started I listened to the podcasts on compassionatecooks.com - I highly recommend. It really wasn't as difficult as I have heard. I did not crave meat or dairy, and I did not have a hard time finding food to eat or make. I am not going to continue being vegan, but I am definitely going to eat less animal products. How I did it: I just decided that I would rather not drink soda anymore since it is unhealthy and it costs money. So I decided to stop. I had been drinking like a can of Dr. Pepper per day, but once I decided to quit it was really easy. I have a soda every once in a great while, but it really is not even appealing anymore. I can no longer drink an entire can. I am sure I have saved a lot of money. I have been inspired to eat healthier. It was a good decision. Read how I did it…

It’s totally not worth it! Save yourselves! I try to ask everybody I know if they like living here and there’s probably about 3% (not including the 60+ group) who actually like living here. When asked “Well then why did you move here?” the answer is usually “I have no idea.” Trust me, stay wherever it is that you are!
God is in control of everything and He knows what’s best for me. I really just need to give it all up to Him.
