so… summer is about half over and I am not halfway to this goal..arrgghh. But all is not lost. I am running too, so I decided that I wanted to run/cycle 500K. If I add those two up, I’m about 1/4 of the way to my goal. As long as I’m making progress, I’m encouraged, even if I don’t get all the way there.

How I did it: I had been thinking and designing different ideas for years! Finally, after a big lifechange/milestone, I decided it was the time. So, I thought about some important values, and came up with some images/thoughts I wanted to incorporate. I took my ideas to an artist friend, who sketched as she looked through my images and talked to me. we have decided to move into a little community in inner city neighborhood. can’t wait! we’re only planning to do this for a year. so far, our kids are so far not excited, but we hope they’ll come alongside and be somewhat open minded. What i really hope is that there will be great opportunities for them and they’ll realize the value of experiementing and trying new things.
I wanted to do something practical.. I was thinking about how hard I find squats and lunges. So im going to do a few of those before bed each night. or at least thats the plan. lets see how it goes..
