Since the last update, I’ve finished the following books:
- Captain Alatriste
- Purity of Blood (both by Arturo Perez-Reverte. They’re not The Club Dumas, but they passed some time.)
- Octavia Butler’s Xenogenesis trilogy
- Interview with a Vampire
- Twilight
- New Moon (don’t judge me for reading Stephenie Meyer. Oh, it’s too late. I judge myself.)

While I never thought that finishing a book each week would be a challenge for me, I’m a little surprised that I’m well ahead of the goal. I don’t have to read another word for the rest of the month.
Since the last update, I’ve finished the following books:
- Leaving Church: A Memoir of Faith
- V for Vendetta
- Why People Believe Weird Things: Pseudoscience, Superstition, and Other Confusions of Our Time
- Misery
- The Stand
- Bradbury Stories: 100 of His Most Celebrated Tales (which I’ve been reading over the last couple of months)
Chances are, I’ll pick up one or two books that will take some time to complete for the next round.

I’ve recently finished Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials trilogy and am now re-reading them (in conjunction with re-watching The Golden Compass). I found myself particularly affected by the last pages of The Amber Spyglass and am not sure why.
