53. When cars tow boats. I just really love seeing boats drive by.
54. Sugar Ray.
55. Painting my nails (half-icure style).
56. Picking up my cat and having him stretch out as long as he can go.
57. Incorporating lyrics from popular songs into casual/serious conversation.
58. Surprise interior decoration (I don’t think I listed this one previously…)
59. How crazy my best friend is.
60. Having a dress-up trunk in my studio.
I leave Monday. Redhead in the sun. Should be interesting.
It was a couple of years ago… I forget the specific waterfall. But it was kind of intense. Like a really strong water massage. Really strong.
A friend of mine had a bunch of performers from a couple different Cirque du Soleils perform at a party – that was pretty sweet. Also saw Wintuk this & last year, and I’m going to Kooza this weekend.
I’ve realized that the more you pay for a tube of chapstick, the less likely you are to be reckless with it. I’ve got about half a tube left of a $7 chapstick… still goin’ strong.
From Genesis to the Tarzan soundtrack… Oh yeah.
I want a bust of Phil Collins for my room.
I decided today that I’m gonna do a 5k this summer. Gives me something to work towards. Now if I could only bring myself to get on that treadmill…
I dunno – maybe it’s because I’ve been listening to a lot of Sugar Ray lately. But I think I’m in love with his voice.
I’m at the studio all the time, now. Not sure if that counts as going out – but there are other people at the studio. And sometimes there’s wine.
I wonder if I can count this as being done if I don’t eat it straight from the tub anymore…
I’m actually doing an oil painting right now of Céline throwing some glitter. Best present ever? I think so.
So… all I really have to do is walk into a building, use the elevator, talk to someone, and fill out some paperwork. Maybe I’ll do it tomorrow.
I showed my mom a picture of my new red dress (which I love, and was very inexpensive), and she told me I should accompany her to a cocktail party she was invited to (for something having to do with someone her company is affiliated with, or whatever). So now I have an excuse to wear it – although – not gonna lie… I’m kinda scared.
I found lil’ kitty 6 weeks ago, and we’ve celebrated several milestones since then…
Eyes opened, ears opened…
Him learning to use the litterbox (just went in one day, and that was that)...
Walking, running, climbing onto my bed, climbing up clothes (that are being worn)...
From accidentally tumbling down the stairs to hopping down the stairs…
Eating formula from a bowl, not a bottle.
I love my baby kitty.
One of the kids at the camp I work at is standing in front of the pool shed going “It’s a kitten!”. I happened to be right there – and sure enough, there was this little black kitten, a few days old, eyes not even open yet, crawling around. Long story short, I ended up with a chirping little newborn. Took it to the vet, bought some kitten formula and a little bottle, found out how to care for it, and now I don’t sleep anymore. He’s an eating and sleeping machine – just starting to barely crack open his eyes.
As rewarding as it is having a little kitty curl up against your neck and purr like a little motor… I can’t help but feel sometimes that I’m in way over my head. My family has been great with helping me out, though. Just trying to take it day-by-day.
I’ve got a lot on my plate.
Well… I managed to get up my first time out – but I was only able to stay that way for about 20 seconds. Quite a few wipeouts. I pretty much got owned by the water. This is a picture of one of my bruises. When I let go of the handle on a particularly good wipeout, it came back and whipped me.
We’ll see how this works out…
Does it still count if it was sangria?
Just for a photograph. That and I’ve always wanted to end a paper with:
... and to quote Céline Dion, “that’s the way it is”.
How could you go wrong?
