How I did it: See above! I stopped focusing on "meeting someone". Life doesn't start when you fall in love/get the job/lose the weight, it's what you're doing on the journey to meet your goals. I focused on being me, on making myself happy, and I met him while I was focusing on me. It taught me to always be concerned about how I'm feeling, what am I doing to meet my goals, and in turn this has made me a better girlfriend, daught… Read how I did it…
I didn’t quite realize it, but I’ve lost 20 lbs, lol. I started running and fell in love with it, and will continue to keep running and losing weight. I modified how I ate slightly, stop snacking so much, etc, but basically kept it about the same and run 3 days a week 3-4 miles. Am training for my 1/2 marathon now so the mileage is increasing but I’m doing well. Find what you like and do it, you’ll be surprised how fast the weight comes off :)
I ran my first 8K today. I’ve never run in anything in my life, and today I ran 4.97 miles in 61 minutes! Not too bad for my first time, huh? And I ran the entire time, which was my biggest goal. I didn’t want to walk at all and dammit, I didn’t! Super excited about meeting this once “unattainable” goal.
