See James Brown in Concert
So excited!

So, I saw something on my local news website today that said that James Brown was in concert tonight. I had no idea he was coming, so I frantically got tickets on ticketmaster. I’m so excited and I can’t wait to see him.

finish decorating my room
creamsicle.

I’m having some trouble deciding on a color scheme for my room. Right now it’s a bright orange color (like a creamsicle) which I absolutely adore. Some of my furniture, however, doesn’t look too great next to it. I just bought a bookcase that is a medium oak finish, I suppose I could refinish it, if I needed to. I’m just, not sure what color to finish/paint the furniture. I was thinking either a white, or whitewashed finish, or a black finish. The problem is, my headboard is black metal and my mom isn’t too thrilled about me spraypainting that, either. I don’t really want a country look, I’m not too into shabby chic, and I really just like pretty clean lines & bright colors. It’s making me crazy that nothing matches (mainly because everything was purchased seperately) and I’m willing make time and effort to make the room absolutely fabulous, I just need some advice along the way.

Also, I recently purchased a 26” LCD tv, and I’m contemplating mounting it on the wall. To mount, or not to mount? That is the question.

lose weight
diabetes.

So, at work today a co-worker of mine had mentioned to me about how I should ‘watch out’ so I don’t get diabetes. I asked him why, and he said that diabetes was more common in people who were overweight. I know he was trying to be polite about the weight issue, but it definitely hurt my feelings. I really wish I wasn’t fat. I’m so sick of being fat. I’ve been fat since I can remember and I’m so tired of it. I just want to look healthy and feel good for once in my life. I’m not interested in being a size two, just being happy…and healthy, and hopefully eventually smaller. The thing I don’t get, is that I really don’t eat that much. Maybe about 1500-2000 calories in a day. Hardly any soda, rare fast food intake, lots of vegetables, lean meats and fruits, and I still maintain my 220 lbs stature. I don’t know how this is possible, because I really don’t eat much pasta, either. I eat a lot of whole wheats, grains, nuts and dried fruit you can find in trail mix. I’ve been known to have a sweet tooth on occasion, but not every single night. I really don’t know what I’m doing wrong, but I really hope I figure it out, soon.

I really hope I’m able to get a PS2 off of Amazon soon, it would be a perfect present, as I’ve found myself addicted to DDR via my keyboard, let alone the actual game, plus it would help to accomplish 3 goals of mine…all at once! :)

I really should exercise more.
