I recently drove from northwest Montana to upstate New York, primarily on non-interstate, small, pretty roads. A great time and a fabulous learning experience.

How I did it: There is lead contamination in the soil in my neighborhood, so I built raised beds with some cheap pine 2 by 4s and filled them with nice clean dirt. I ended up with lots of tasty beans, cucumbers, carrots, eggplants, tomatoes, arugala, and squash. Read how I did it…
