I passed the first half of this class. Now we’re almost done with the second half, and I’m not even close to passing. I want to pass not only to prove to myself that I can, but to prove to everyone else that I’m not stupid.

I recently ended things with my first “real” boyfriend after 9 months. He was moving 5 hours away for college, and we both decided that things were just not going to work. I felt like I was dying at first, I didn’t know how to cope with the pain I was feeling, but now that I have moved on, I am able to look back on our relationship and smile about the happy times, but also to realize I’m better off now. I realize now that he was emotionally abusive, and there is no way that I want to put myself back in that situation again. I don’t regret my time with him though, because it made me stronger, and I learned so much from it.
