For a year my friend was telling me about how much fun she was having in dance class and going out dancing – finally I sucumbed and joined her – and never looked back. As a result of her efforts, I’m now part of an entire community of Lindy Hop/Swing dancers in San Diego some 200 strong, who get together regularly to dance and socialize. Birthdays are celebrated in a big way. Taking “social” dance classes is one of the best things I’ve ever done in my life. If you’re in the San Diego area, be sure and “ping” me and I’ll send you the latest as to what/where we’ll be. See you on the dance floor!

this is the title of a book I’ve been using for sometime to do a 15 minute yoga routine in the AM. I must say, “regular” yoga doesn’t do it for me – but this routine is simple and gets my body moving and ready for the day – it also gets me to do at least a little bit of meditation daily, as it ends with the “tree” pose… I love it and it has made a huge difference in my life. you can fine “A Morning Cup of yoga” on amazon.com – it comes with a CD to get you started – there are other books in the series that may be helpful as well – on Tai Chi and Stretching, as I recall – all “a morning cup” series. Enjoy!
A must do for anyone! Loved riding on trains, while snacking on delicious local bread and cheese watching the countryside go by! The best! Loved using the part of my brain that never gets used in order to attempt to communicate with others in a language other than my own! Loved having to figure out how to get from A to Z (Athens to Zurich?) using public transportation!
