How I did it: I followed a really gentle plan jogging 3-4 times a week starting of with just walking and jogging. It took three months but being able to overtake lots of people in the last 5k of a 10k race felt great.Now i am following an intermediate schedule so that I can beat my 10k pb (1hr4m30s). £2,600 and £1,000 overdraft. Also my career development loan £8,000 (£265×36) For the past year i have only been making the minimum and i have just started my monthly payments for my loan. I am most concerned about the credit card at them moment – need it gone. Going to try to put £150 in a month for the next few months.
I am running the Rainforest Foundation 10k in 2 weeks so i would like to run again next year and see if i can improve on whatever time i make.
The co-op who i have been in contact with finally invited me in for an interview and i was very optimistic. Unfortunately they decide i was too much like a girl the had just signed so looks like i am back to square one :-(
