How I did it: I left for my freshman year of college. Within the first month I lost 10 pounds. It's not that I worked out or anything, the food at my school was just really horrible. I also walk everywhere. Overall, it made me sick and I don't feel like I look any different. Not worth doing. Read how I did it…
I actually stopped not watching TV a while ago. I’d hit the month mark and it was a slow weekend. I didn’t really feel the need to not watch for two more weeks (finish up Lent). But it was still worth doing. Didn’t miss anything by not watching it, though my friends now have to describe any movie they want me to see because I have never seen the previews, it’s funny.
Maybe it’s that it was my friend we were exorcising, but this is not worth doing. It was kind of traumatic in my experience.
So, after tonight I will not have watched TV for a month. I didn’t count movies, because one day I just needed to watch a movie and not do anything, but it’s my rules so I think that’s fine. So… YEY!
But now the question is, do I want to wait until Easter and just say I gave up TV for lent?
