Long story short, I’m now divorced. My son also acts just like his dad, though, so fear I will have to endure. He is almost 14 and could overpower me any time he felt like it. I try not to keep him with me if he does act up and point out why. He has ADD and many other issues, so life in general is hard, that’s why he’s not with me full time. The father & I do talk cordially about him but he’s still in denial about why I left & about our son’s problems. I say a day without verbal abuse is a good day. I have some tools to rebuild my life, but it’s a daily battle.

How I did it: Well, as God would have it, my parents finally got me baptized when I was a young child. I was always in God's family and they are too. I returned to my original religion (the one I was baptized in) many years later to be confirmed. I can see being self-conscious as an adult or teen, but you don't need to be! Read how I did it…
How I did it: Thanks to the encouragement of others on here, I started on it right away. Took about 2 hours, though.I opened up my Microsoft Word Program and started typing. Making a list from 1 to eventually 100. I edited and deleted and added some things. Also combined some related tasks into 1 category. I focused primarily on the present year, Christian faith, circumstances and special people in my life. Also majo… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Started listening to Dave Ramsey and realized that debt wasn't "normal" after all. It is not being a good steward of what God gives you. The American way is not necessarily the right way. Buying things you cannot afford does not bring peace or happiness, it brings strife and divorce, not to mention unwanted phone calls!I devised a plan to pay off these debts and visualized many times what it would be like to have less or no cr… Read how I did it…

Believe in yourself and put your self-conscious, judgmental thoughts aside. Your students will see more in you than you ever saw in yourself. Be prepared to amaze yourself and also to fall on your face a few times, too. Nerves will get the best of you, but your students and supervisors understand you are only human. And if they don’t then who needs them?
Start at smaller clubs with email pitches with your form of Zumba (Aqua, toning, land, kids) and see what their interest is. Demo 3 of your favorite songs for them during a class or on the side and see how it goes. Be wary of those that want you to perform an entire class as an “interview” as they usually are only looking for free subs, perfection or both!
