I’ve been doing this for about two weeks I think, and so far I’m loving it! Tonight I went back and read some of the entries, and it was really uplifting to see all of the things that have made me happy over the last couple of weeks. I can’t wait to have a whole year’s worth!

How I did it: Well, it just seemed to sort of happen. I was living on my own for a year, and it showed me (and my family) just how much we missed each other, especially for my dad. I also talked with my mom about things that bothered me about him, and gained another perspective on his childhood and *why* he is the way he is. That understanding made it so much easier to forgive him.Now I'm living back at home, and our relationship is a million tim… Read how I did it…
How I did it: This one was easy. I called the doctor's office and set up an appointment for my day off, Friday....Then I just showed up with my insurance card and twenty bucks. Read how I did it…
This is going WONDERFULLY!! Our relationship is back to what it used to be, if not better.
It’s all because of the little things: carving out an extra hour or two to spend together, organizing the office for him so he has a workspace, having dinner ready for him after his long 10 hour day at school, taking the time to goof off with him..A big one: letting the little things go! Who CARES if the cap is left off the toothpaste, or his towel is on the floor? In the grand scheme of things, it really doesn’t matter. Not one bit. I’ve quit sweating the small stuff, and it really is helping.
I would say that “I’m done” with this goal, but I think that a relationship can always be improved on, so I’m gonna keep on going with it. :)
