How I did it: When a man walks by you in Thailand and thrusts a monkey at you, take it. Don’t think about what’ll happen if it bites you, or what kinds of diseases it may be carrying. Don’t think about how the man who gave the monkey to you will probably ask you for some money for the privilege of holding his pet. Smile, have your friend take a picture, and then graciously thank the gentleman as you hand back the monkey and walk away. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Went to Thailand, found a travel agent, booked an elephant trek, paid 700 baht and that was that. We had an option to do a 30 minute, hour-long, or 1.5 hour long trek and chose to do the 30 minute one since we had a ferry to catch to Koh Phangan in the afternoon. Read how I did it…
