Did it professionally (small touring roadshow) for two years, have done it for personal reasons a few times. Joshp is correct – it is enormous. Montana and Texas are endless. The variety is spectacular. Get off the interstates, travel the state highways if you can – more interesting, less homogeneous.
I can see the value in shared goal listing, it’s fun to read and navigate, but for me to get value out of this, I feel that I’d have to be really honest about myself and my goals – and I’m undecided as yet whether this is something I want to have on public display yet. There are various reasons – some involve embarrassment, others involve fear of others doing something before me, etc. I’ve still not found my own balance of public/private – maybe that’s why I’m such a lousy blogger (my most interesting entries are by far the most personal, and they are few and far between.)
