How I did it: It was hard to find an internship for what I want to do where I live because the industry I want to go into really isn't here. I just contacted the few places that existed and looked on my school's career website to see if there were any available. I found, applied, and started about a month ago! How I did it: I don't think that I will ever be completely over my fears, but acknowledging that they do exist has helped me to deal with them. For example, one of my biggest fears is that I am going to die alone.
