I suppose that, sometimes, there’s nothing you can do to mend a relationship that life has pulled in separate directions. Best to accept what is and keep on trucking, eh?

I got one about a year ago. They look awesome, and I got a lot of comments on it. HOWEVER, if you’re going to get one, be very, very careful.
No matter how often I washed it out, it got infected, and stayed infected, for months. I had pierced mine myself with the help of a friend, using an alcohol and heat-disinfected needle (it hurt slightly, but might affect you more; I was on opiates at the time.)
I had to take it out entirely when the ball-stops on the bar fell off, and it has since healed up, but due to infections has left small lumps on my ear. Therefore, it’d be wise to give this decision consideration.

That being said, I’m re-piercing it soon, so I obviously recommend it. ;)
