finished my master's degree.... 8 months ago

i spent a whole year dedicated to this one goal. everything makes so much more sense now… things are finally moving in the right direction and i LOVE playing the oboe.

finally i performed my first concerto with orchestra. for the first time, i feel that i am in control of my career, my instrument, and my voice.

Run the Boston Marathon
almost qualified.... 20 months ago

i thought it was a more distant goal, but i just ran my 2nd marathon, and with a time of 3:44, in the los angeles marathon. That’s just 4 minutes over my qualifying time! i wasn’t expecting to run that fast that day, but i felt great! yay!

SSShhhh… don’t tell anyone, but after i finish my master’s in modern oboe (in december) i might stay on at school and get a master’s or DMA in early music…. i miss playing baroque oboe so much that i fantasize about it! haha! early music is the music for me!
