My roommate won tickets, so I’m going this Friday! We’ll get there a little late, but I don’t really care. Yay!

If you can try to do an overnight trip. Rafting usually comes with excellent food, so hopefully you’ll be well fed.
These are the rivers I’ve been on and I recommend them all especially the beautiful Rogue:
Rogue River in southern OR
Deschutes River OR
Mackenzie River OR
Salmon River ID
Missouri River MT
I did this until I got to college. Now, school isn’t so much about being perfect. I just take whatever I think I want from the class and move on. I want to earn good grades, but it’s not a priority. There are bigger things in life than straight A’s.
I’m in San Jose right now. I’m working with their Bomberos and learning quite a bit of Spanish so far. I’ll be here for seven weeks, so I hope to pick up lots!
My rehab is going alright. I have ~99% of my range of motion back but I still need to build up a lot of strength in my quad and hamstrings. My physical therapist said that my leg’s a little weak, and I was pretty disappointed to hear that, but I’ll just keep working.
I hit a real softball for the first time this week!! Since we’re now practicing outside all the time now I’ve been running around a lot more, and it’s great. And, the team is 15-4 since we just swept Coast Guard on Saturday!!
Well me knee hasn’t been feeling too great, but today I got to stand in against a pitcher (not really hitting) for a long time today while we were practicing defenses. I’ve also been throwing a lot lately. Things are looking up, plus my team is doing well. We’re 9-1 so far.
I had surgery on Jan. 3, and I’ve been doing PT for a while. Softball practices started on Wednesday, so I’ve been going, but all I do is more PT or lift weights, pretty boring. I’m not having much trouble getting around anymore, but I still know that I can’t do anything with softball for a while…
It’s hard to find the line between being a part of the team and being the injured girl. I try to amuse myself at practice. Thankfully my coach doesn’t expect me to be everyone’s bitch, which I think will help me come back next year, but I still get bored. We’ll see how practices keep going.
My brother gave me his old one, which I don’t mind at all. I’m just happy to have one. Now I just have to replace his silly music with some country.
Just go to a school that’s 75% male and it’s nearly impossible not to make male friends. ;-)
been on 3 airplane rides, through 1 fire, hit by football (Tom broke it!!!), and now it needs some help. I hope to do this when I get back to school, but I need to find a nice pot first.
My school has a class/club that teaches SCUBA, so a friend and I have plans to do this next year. I’m excited!
Here’s some great places to go:
Salmon River in eastern Idaho
Missouri River in western Montana
Deschutes & Mackenzie Rivers in Oregon.
I’ve always gone on family trips including my 70 year old grandmother, so anyone can accomplish this goal! Have fun and make sure they teach you how to float when you fall out of the boat. This has saved my legs at least once.
Mine burned in a fire in August. Maybe Drbrain will buy me a new one for Christmas? :-)
My sophomore season is shot, and I’ll be getting surgery right after New Years hopefully. My goal is to be ready for fall practice come September. I’m going to rehab Monday-Friday to get my leg in shape for surgery. I think this goes hand-in-hand with “Be more disciplined.”
I plan on giving myself a little break after New Years, which is the one year mark. I’ll see if I’ve been missing out on anything over the past 10+ months. :-D
I plan on running a local race this summer because I haven’t ran a 5k in over a year. I guess to prove I can still do it. I’m going to see if one of my friends or my sister will run with me.
The one thing I have against ipods and other portable music players is that they make people antisocial. I see many people walking around my college campus that don’t look up at anyone while they’re lost in their music. I think they’re great for taking to the gym and other places where you are going to be alone, but there’s something to be said for being a part of the world.
Next time I’m in an Aeropostale store I’ll try their jeans on. I figure there’s about a 5% chance that they’ll fit me.
