How I did it: Well, I started in weight watchers in spring of '07, my senior year in high school, and lost quite a bit of weight with that. Almost 20 pounds, I think. Well, that summer was pretty hectic and I stopped going after that, started college, didn't think too much about "keeping a diet" - except that come next spring (I think it was spring, perhaps later winter) of '08, I realized I'd dropped a whole size almost… Read how I did it…
For a while I’d kicked coffee altogether except this quarter’s been rough. I feel like I’m not getting enough sleep and I’ve turned to coffee once again. Luckily I haven’t been having the same bad effects… still, I want to try to kick it again.
So lately I’ve been wondering whether I should bother trying to dye the rest of my hair close to my natural hair color, or just deal with having two toned hair until it grows out. The hair that WAS deep red (see my picture) a few months ago has now faded and it’s pretty much just strawberry blonde now, with about 5 inches of my natural (light brown) hair on top. It’s because bleached hair doesn’t hold onto color. So, I don’t know if it would be worth it to bother trying to dye it all the same color, if the bleached hair would just gradually lose the color anyway. I’m okay with having two-toned hair. As somebody who rapidly gets bored of her hair, I’m really, really used to it.
Also, it doesn’t help that my best friend really doesn’t like my natural hair color. She’s like, “It’s so mousy, it’s practically grey”. I call it a “light golden brown” and she says “eh, it’s more like blueish brown grey”. If I look close at it though, I still have natural blonde strands (I used to be pure blonde as a child). I think my natural hair color is fine though. I’m pretty sure the last time my hair was totally natural colored was senior year. In my prom photos it’s its natural color, and my hair looks just fine. Sure, it’s a little mousy but I’d rather it be mousy and healthy than blonde and dead and frizzy…
