I find that living positively has become more of a benefit to me than thinking positively, and so I move on.

(posted with minor differences to my LiveJournal)
Attending a weight loss support group...and finding out you’re too big for their scale.
A workaround has been established – as I believe I’ve mentioned previously in my journal, there are scales in the bathrooms at the local mall that are rated for 500lb / 227kg / 37 stone (I ♥ Google Calculator), and as long as I go within a day or so of the meeting, it’ll count as my “official” weight – but it was still annoying.
In happier, related news, Mom and I returned to the same TOPS chapter we belonged to 25 years ago…and there was still someone there who remembered us.
The high school I went to frosh/soph years had a typing requirement. You could either take the basic year-long Typing I class (available to all students), or the semester-long Personal Typing (available to upperclassmen only). My mother insisted I take Typing I in my freshman year, despite my pleas to use that time for another elective (ANY other elective).
Had I but known that Usenet and the Web were in my future, I never would have complained….
