Saturday night went really well. It was a lot of fun getting to know everybody, and the kids had a blast. We had some rain the two days prior to the big night, and we assumed we would all stay inside, but that didn’t happen. Out to the patio we went, and the kids played on the swingset and got completely muddy and flithy. The adults all sat back and enjoyed watching them play and getting to know each other. I think it went well.

Today I stopped by one of my neighbor’s homes to tell her that her son can come over after school to play if he would like to, and she was crying. She misses her friends, her old neighbors. They moved because of her husband’s job. I know how she feels, and I wish I could be of comfort to her, but i think she needs to feel it. SO I will leave well enough alone. Next week I will go over and ask her to come for lunch.

I watch for meteor showers every summer. There is nothing more beautiful then nature’s own firework display!

and nature. I have been a Catholic my entire life, and I have slipped away from the Church since I have had my children. I feel an emptiness and I know that it needs to be filled with a Church community and prayer. There are not many Catholic churches in the area, and to be honest I am not sure that my beliefs are what they should be. I find my religion to be very judgmental, and I have a hard time imagining God as a judgmental God. I know He is love, He is nature, He is all around. He does not have to be found inside of a building or a statue. I just don’t know where I need to go or what I need to do to find the content-ness I am seaking.
