just an update of what’s going on with this goal… almost there.
Never did this, so am giving up.
I’ve still been drawing, and my style is more developed than it was back in the spring so I’m really happy about that. I’m going to keep working, and maybe have a similar goal spring 2010. Selling my art on etsy is something I’d like to do.
Obviously never did this one! My car needs it too, my trunk is still packed with odds and ends from when I moved last September and it’s got some kind of smell going on. One of these days…
I’ve really let this goal fall by the wayside. I started a new job in April, and I can’t really listen to audio books anymore and I’ve read most of the books that interest me. Plus I’m spending my free time doing other things (mainly facebook games which sounds horrible compared to reading!). I’m at 21% right now.
Seriously thinking about dropping this goal…
I graduated from college in May 2000, and last week I finally made the last payment on my student loans. Whew! What a milestone!
67. Finally being able to log on to my 43things page after it being “broke” for over 3 weeks! I could give cheers via Zeitgeist but couldn’t access my page. :( Looks like it’s back on track right now – yay!
I’m still working on core classes for my major, and this summer’s class seems to be another one that I’ll probably never need in my future career. It looks like it’s going to be a PITA too, there’s a group project (and I detest group projects!) and we have to go interview someone in the field plus the usual papers, quizzes and tests. Urg. I hope it turns out to be interesting.
I was relieved to get my grade a few days ago and see a B-! I didn’t think my university gave out +/- grades, but whatever! It was great news.
So Facebook owns 43things now? I’ve been trying to cheer goals, but keep getting directed back to Facebook…

I got that job, and started today. What a huge relief. I know I was so lucky when there are so many people from my old department who weren’t able to find a replacement job (at least yet).
I had another interview this morning, now I have to wait until Monday/Tuesday for the decision. I think I have a very good chance at getting it, but that feeling will make it even worse if I’m passed over.

Right now I’m reading David Copperfield and have King Solomon’s Mines checked out as well. I’m liking the older books better than the ones on the list that are less than 20 years old. A lot of the newer ones seem more trendy… like they’re big now but who will be reading them in 50 years let alone 100-200. Eh.
